Neither do I have a lot of working experience, because I have a small child (born on 13.03.2002) and we have been travelling a lot (3 years in Italy, 2 years in Germany and now 2 years in the Netherlands), because of my husband's profession: he does research in theoretical physics.This did not make it easy for me to combine professional and family life. I am currently studying to teach French as a foreign language (online), and I would like to acquire some experience in the translation field, as I find it very interesting. > Relevant Translation Experience: I do not have much translation experience, apart from translations I made for friends and family (cv) and some French poetry I translated into Italian for Italian friends. I am looking for an opportunity to get more experience in this field, as I really enjoy translating, and I am looking for an opportunity to broaden my professional possibilities. As I am a French native speaker, I am looking for jobs in translating from English or Italian into French. > Education: June 2000: Ba Greek with English, at King's College, University of London In the first term of 2000-2001 I had enrolled at the University of Cambridge (UK) to do a PGCE in classics. I quit this course because I realised that this qualification was recognised only in Anglo-Saxon countries. June 2005: DUFLE at the Université du Maine, France. Online course. Currently: Master FLE (to teach French as a foreign language) with the Université du Maine, France. Online course. > Additional Skills: Language skills: I am fluent in English and Italian. my German is good and I am currently learning Dutch. Independent learning: I learned Italian on my own during my stay in Italy and then passed the Certificazione di Italiano come Lingua Straniera at C2 level with an average grade of 74 %. Creative writing: a write a little bit of poetry, which I like translating into Italian for fun. Ability to integrate well into foreign society, interest in understanding other cultures. > Location: Vleuten (Utrecht) (Netherlands) |
